Ever since my grandfather sat me on a horse and let me trot poles at the age of four, I knew that I had a special connection with horses and taking care of them. Following my passion for horses, I began competing at horse shows in 2015. I currently train with Matt Cyphert, Audrey Norrell, and Abigail Brayman at Woodhill Farm in Argyle, TX. My competition highlights include 1st place in the 2021 Texas Children’s Equitation Medal Final, 15th in the 2022 Taylor Harris Finals, and 1st place in Zone 7 of the 2022 & 2023 Taylor Harris rankings.
My name is Olivia Pittenger, and I am from Austin, Texas, where I will be starting my junior year at Lake Travis High School. I am extremely focused on my academics and maintain a 3.96 GPA in Honors classes. In addition to my class work, I am involved in the National Charity League Austin 360 Chapter, which is an organization that provides me with opportunities to serve in my community. I have learned so much from this organization, as it has kept me humble and taught me the life skills of serving and putting others before yourself. I am also a member of my school’s track team and play tennis and golf and hang out with family and friends when I’m not horse showing. Whether it’s academics, sports or volunteer work, I put my all into what I do and focus on being a responsible, hard working and humble teammate and leader.
I’m eager to pursue riding at the collegiate level to build upon the skills I have acquired in my youth equestrian career. I am passionate about finding a university that will provide me with the opportunity to ride for an NCAA Division l Equestrian Team. The equestrian sport has blessed me as an athlete by teaching me patience and endurance, a strong work ethic, and resilience. I look forward to committing all of myself to a future collegiate equestrian team!
